Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The Italians are horrified by our usage of this, the world's most famous hard cheese. Thought of here in the States as purely a grating cheese, the rest of the world savours Parmigiano-Reggiano as a delicious, full-flavored eating cheese. It began life seven centuries ago in the Italian provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, part of Bologna and part of Mantua. Nature blessed this zone with the most idealistic cattle grazing land to create the unique milk from the 'Zone Tripica'. The local cheese craftsmen took it from there, utilizing a totally natural process that has not changed for 700 years. No additives, no machinery, no gimmicks... just sweet, fresh milk in its pristine state... then the artisan's ancient skills... and then nature's own good time (aged from 18 to 36 months). What you see today is just what the knights, serfs, saints and kings of old ate! And please, don't compare it to the pre-grated 'Parmesan' cheese found in the green can in aisle 4 of the grocery store. Made from raw cow's milk, aged over 18 months.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Unique and wonderful!
I really cannot recommend this cheese highly enough. The flavor and consistency is almost perfect. This is a very strong tasting, natural cheese. Cut very thin to savor the flavor as a snack cheese, but of course this stuff has no equal as a grating cheese. To be honest, I am usually not a big fan of many cheeses in this category, but of the ones I do like, this heads the list. A unique eating experience! Cannot see how you can go wrong here.

From Parma,Italy comes two famous food products.

Parmigiano Reggiano and prosciutto (which translates into something like dried meat.If you're ever in Bologna,I'd recommend a stop at Tamburini, which has stood in its place for as long as I can remember.

This cheese is worth every cent.

When you buy it, don't have it ground at the store, buy the block and grate it at home or it will lose it's strength of flavor.

I recommend this with a 100% guarantee of falling in love with the product, so buy it for St. Valentine's Day if you're single.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Ohmigod, I think I died and went to heaven!
* This is the parmigiano I remember from the neighborhood Italian market when I was a girl.

The taste is lovely and piquant - a little goes a long way in the flavor department. There are the wonderful little crystals in the cheese. And it is aged so that it crumbles really nicely when cut.

It is absolutely delicious eating out-of-hand, which is the way I prefer it. Just a little piece is so satisfying. (I am 100% Italian, first generation American, and my parents were real 'foodies', so I like to think I know my cheeses!)

The Parmigiano was also packaged really well. It came extremely cold in a little styrofoam container, with a cold pack and additional padding, inside a cardboard box.

(.....)

I would order this cheese again and I look forward to ordering with (....) again, too. Check out their website for fantastical things! ...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Parimgiano Reggiano
This was a gift for a person who is of Italian descent and who loves to cook. She said the cheese was of excellent quality. The vendor kept me informed about my order via email and the gift arrived on time and in good condition.

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

While compact and convenient, Panasonic's SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesn't make the quality cut.

This 44-minute musical Christmas movie finds Pooh, Tigger, Darby, and the rest of everyone's favorite characters from the Hundred Acre Wood enjoying a busy Christmas Eve filled with Christmas preparations and dreams about what they hope to receive from Santa. When Roo and Lumpy discover a fancy red bag in the snow and then stumble upon a young reindeer named Holly caught in a thicket, they find out that the bag they've found is Santa's magical toy sack and that without it, Santa may have to cancel Christmas. When Holly is unable to remember which direction leads home, Roo and Lumpy sound the super sleuth siren and the whole gang sets off for the North Pole to return Santa's bag. Using their knowledge of the North Star to guide them, the hopeful group makes their way toward the North Pole, but finds the road difficult and full of danger. Can the group make it to Santa in time to save Christmas by working together? Will their individual Christmas wishes ever come true? Bonus features include two episodes about friendship and teamwork ("Symphony for Rabbit" and "Tigger Goes Snowflakey") and the "Hundred Acre Wood Downhill Game" in which players pretend to ski down a hill and then interactively match presents with their intended recipients. Pooh Bear and his pals in the Hundred Acre Wood celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve in a pair of adventures folded into this 65-minute made-for-video feature. In the first, the silly old bear plays Saint Nick to his buddies ("I always thought he'd be taller") after failing to get an errant wish list off to Santa, while identity crisis strikes the gang in the second half. Piglet inherits Tigger's hop and jumps like a pogo stick, and Eeyore (dressed in Pooh's shirt) becomes a happy-go-lucky honey lover. Welcome to The Twilight Zone according to Winnie the Pooh. There's not much A.A. Milne in this TV-style holiday special, but it's a bouncy little production that should entertain the wee ones with its warm fuzzies, good company, slapstick energy, and life lessons. --Sean Axmaker
